3 Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds:
4 That I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak.

God recently told me to write down the names of all the people who have made a significant positive impact in my life. In my Spirit, I heard the word “The DoorOpeners”. He didn’t tell me to write down a list of nice people. He didn’t tell me to write down a list of people that I like. He didn’t tell me to write down a list of Christians. He told me to write down a list of folk who made a difference in my life. He told me to write down a list of people who opened doors of opportunity for me.
Here is my list. Some of the people opened secular doors and others opened spiritual doors. Some of these people love me and some of these people can do without me. Regardless…these people opened doors for me.

These were the DoorOpeners that I could think of. I apologize to anyone that I forgot. Now…here is something else the Lord showed me:
The rough patches of my life….there were no DoorOpener there.
The last 13 years of my life have been WONDERFUL!!! Why? There was a bunch of DoorOpeners in my life. I have met most of the people on that list within the last 13 years. God has used these people whether they like it or not to open doors for me. Life is better with DoorOpeners.
So what is the spiritual significance of this exercise? I learned a few things that I would like to share with you:
1.) It’s not really the DoorOpeners…it’s the one who sent them. As I looked at all the DoorOpeners in my life, I could see God’s Plan unfolding. God was using all of these people to get me where I am now. We should honor the DoorOpeners but we should give the Glory to God. Without Him, there would be no door to open.
2.) This really makes me appreciate God’s Grace. When I use to attend promotion ceremonies for believers in the military service, I would always hear the same routine. They would spend one second on thanking God and then they would spend 30 minutes of their speech detailing how they got there thru their hard work. BULL FEATHERS! If they were REALLY honest they would admit that they didn’t get there thru hard work. They got there because of connections. They got there because of WHATEVER reason God showed favor!!! God sent people to mentor them. God sent people to OPEN DOORS. God sent people to give us a chance. This is the predominant reason for success.
3.) On the Spiritual Side, why look at someone within a room of sin with disdain? If someone had not opened the Door of Jesus, or the Door of the Bible or the Door of Good Home Training then you would be trapped in that same door. You are free from that room of sin because of the Door Opener.
4.) Once you realize just how evil people can be…it can cause you to go into hibernation. Don’t tell me that I am the only one. Let me get my feelings hurt. I will take my toys home and play by myself. You can’t be blessed when you hibernate though. No one can open a door for you when you ain’t speaking or dealing with anyone. Many times we want God to Bless us thru IMMACULATE CONNECTION. We want our blessings straight from God with no middle men or women. GET REAL. Whether we like it or not, God uses people. So when you pray for a blessing…understand that a person comes attached to that blessing. That song, “As long as I got King Jesus…I don’t need nobody else” is a lie. God uses the “somebody else”. Foolish pride tells you that you don’t need nobody else.
5.) Be careful with your racism, sexism or religious taste. God used non-believers in the Bible to open doors for Believers. When your stuck up and nasty…the same person you snub may be the same person who would have opened a door for you.
6.) Jesus is the Door. No man can get to the Father except thru Him. It’s important that all of us who have walked thru that Door….to hold it open for those who walk behind us.
7.) Pray for the Spiritual DoorOpeners. God will answer you prayer. I PROMISE!!! Once the spiritual is straight then everything else will be added to you as the Lord sees fit. (For those without a church home, PRAY FOR A PASTOR AFTER GOD’S OWN HEART.)
Matt 7:7-11
7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone?
10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent?
11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?
