Acts 17:10-11

10        And the brethren immediately sent away Paul and Silas by night unto Berea: who coming thither went into the synagogue of the Jews.

11        These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

In God’s Holy Word, the Bereans were considered more noble than the believers in Thessalonica.  Why?  The Bereans made God’s Word a priority.  Here is what they did:

-          They received the Word of God with ALL readiness of mind.  (An open and humble mind is what this means.)

-          They searched the scriptures daily.  (God's Word was not just a Sonday thing.  It was a daily discipline.)

-          They would confirm what Paul and Silas would preach in God’s Word.  That is not a casual reading.  That is research.  (They were not "Pastor Said" Christians.)
